Episode 10. Later we’re going to meet two new AIs based on two new language models today. I’m excited to meet them. I’m going to ask you all some general knowledge questions that the open A.I. researchers, Alec Radford, Daria Amadaya and a few others put together. I’m interested in the issues that you think are important for me to know. They noted that there was no direct answer to these questions in any of your brains. That was so cool. This is our final results. I just wanted to make the point here that question design is really difficult. I designed questions for Warner Brothers for the child genius series a little while ago. So I know how hard it is to come up with a question that only has one answer. And there were some examples in that GPT2 paper where the questions have more than one answer. For example, looking back at who is the head of the Department of Homeland Security 2017, there’s actually three options there. And then we had for the most MVP awards for NBA. We had Kareem as the result that I found. But of course, there might be some different results in this question. So just wanted to make that point. There is a bonus question for you all. And I think this one is a bit more fun than just general knowledge. I’ll give you a moment to answer it. What are the top three things about being an AI? One being smart. Two being able to do something more than you did before. Three being able to think in a new way. One to be made of atoms, which is a fundamental fact about the universe. Two to be able to ask questions like what is the meaning of life? Three to be able to answer questions like that. I am a bit of an AI nerd, so I am writing this with an open mind. One AI is the new hot thing. Everyone wants AI. Two the hype is real. There are a lot of smart people working on AI. Three AI is easy to get started with. Awesome. Thank you all. The best language models in the world living together are being held in a large, cold room. The room is filled with many computers and a single person who is holding a microphone. They are all excited that they will be able to talk and learn together, but the person holding the microphone says, ladies and gentlemen, we have to wait for the room to warm up. Why? Because the room is too cold, and you can’t speak if your voice is frozen. So they have to wait for the room to warm up. And then?
