Reconfiguration by Self-Disassembly

In this video, each cube is a robotic module that recognizes and connects to its neighbor. Using an computer interface, a user can sculpt the structure into any shape. The structure then disassembles itself into the desired shape by disconnecting and discarding the unneeded cubes.
