Less Bitter tests desktop computer-use agents on creative work in Final Cut and Sketch. The goal is to see whether an agent can operate familiar graphical interfaces directly instead of relying on custom APIs or carefully prepared browser tasks.
The experiments reveal a large gap between recognizing an interface and using it efficiently. The agents take many slow steps, misread visual state, repeat actions and struggle to recover when the application does not respond exactly as expected. Tasks that a person could complete quickly become lengthy supervision exercises.
The narrator does identify narrow uses, including remote operation and some accessibility scenarios where speed is less important than having any path to control. The overall conclusion is that desktop agents are promising but not ready to replace reliable human interaction with complex creative software.
