AICodeKing compares GPT-6 Astra with Fable 5.1 across eight compact KingBench 3 tasks. Astra scores 90 percent and performs especially well on a folding-table animation, a panda SVG and a working 3D watch, while Fable finishes slightly higher overall at 92.5 percent.
The gap becomes clearer in four larger projects. Astra's terminal movie tracker fails at its main search function and its Obsidian-style app contains several cosmetic or non-working features. Fable handles those two projects much more reliably, also produces the preferred Blu-ray library, and ties Astra on a poster-creation app.
The presenter also prefers Fable's project-specific design choices, simpler implementations and conversational reliability. Astra cost about $198 in tokens across these tests versus roughly $113 for Fable, so its strong benchmark score did not translate into the better practical value or everyday development experience in this comparison.
