Model availability includes more than whether a model appears in a product menu. Customers also need the service to be operational, responsive and usable within limits that fit their workload.
Availability can be reduced by outages, overloaded infrastructure, regional restrictions, subscription rules or scarce capacity reserved for higher-priority demand. A model with excellent benchmark or reasoning quality may provide little practical value when customers cannot use it when needed.

Model availability means being able to use an AI model when and as much as the job requires. A powerful tool is not very helpful if it is often unavailable or stops after a small allowance.
For example, a developer may prefer one coding model but switch services when outages or weekly limits interrupt a long project. The original model can still be more capable on a difficult question while being less useful for continuous everyday work.
