Tim Simmons opens with his neo-noir short Death Walks Into A Bar, then shows how it was made in Dreamina with Seedance 2.5. Three generated stills provided the main character and location references. He used mostly 30-second generations, roughly 15 attempts, and shorter image-to-video patches where a line delivery, camera angle or book detail needed repair.
The hands-on review credits the model with useful prompt adherence and character performance, especially when a talking scene can breathe. It also shows oversized props, incorrect accents, morphing in action, out-of-order shots and older prompts that do not transfer cleanly. Simmons upscaled the 720p output in Topaz and recommends planning when a costly 30-second take is genuinely useful.
The video's dollar estimates for generation and hypothetical live-action production are rough, partly model-produced comparisons rather than audited budgets. The more transferable lesson is to start with a small, consistent reference set, review the generated footage, patch specific failures and keep the final edit under human control.
