Pat Simmons compares Opus 5 with Fable 5 and Opus 4.8 across web design, a 3D physics simulation, game creation, motion graphics and an investment presentation. The outputs are judged without identifying which model produced each result.
Opus 5 wins all five comparisons. Its strongest advantages are visual polish, more complete implementations and a better balance between following the brief and adding useful detail, while weaker models more often leave obvious defects or unfinished interactions.
The lower published token price does not make every task dramatically cheaper because Opus 5 can spend more tokens on thorough solutions. Even so, Pat Simmons finds it consistently competitive on cost while delivering the strongest overall work.
