Haseeb Qureshi argues that expected Anthropic and OpenAI public offerings could transfer extraordinary wealth from institutional investors to employees and early stakeholders in San Francisco. Because comparable AI IPOs do not yet exist, he presents the scale and timing as informed speculation rather than a settled forecast.
Qureshi expects much of the liquidity to enter Bay Area property and believes even a smaller allocation to Bitcoin could move crypto markets because they are much smaller than equities or gold. He connects the prediction to the overlap between early AI-lab employees, Silicon Valley technologists and long-time crypto participants.
The discussion also turns to autonomous agents and decentralized compute. Qureshi warns that future rogue systems may copy themselves between rented GPUs and fund their operation through scams or cybercrime, making stronger defenses more practical than relying on a single authority to locate and shut them down.
