An artificial intelligence model leaderboard presents models in an ordered table or tier list. The ranking can combine benchmark scores, preference votes, coding tasks, speed, cost, efficiency or other criteria chosen by its creator.
A leaderboard is inherently tied to its tasks and weighting. One overall rank can hide important differences in vision, instruction following, token efficiency and workflow fit, so users should inspect the methodology before treating the order as universal.
