Personal software serves a known user rather than a broad market. It can be highly specific because the builder understands the data, habits, shortcuts, and exceptions that the tool must support.
Its narrow audience can reduce product and support requirements, but it does not eliminate safety needs. A tool that handles important files, credentials, messages, or external services still needs appropriate reliability and security.
